Joomla! Official Documentation Wiki

Start Here

We are trying to organise the documentation contained in this wiki to make it as easy as possible to locate what you are looking for. This is still very much work in progress, but we are starting to create pages where we group information according to your user profile.

Start here

We are always looking for people who can help the Joomla! project. How to contribute will tell you how to do this.

There is also some documentation, mostly relating to Joomla! 1.0.x, on the Joomla! help site.

Working Groups

Development Working Group
The main responsibilty of the development working group is taking care of the development of the Joomla! application framework and the Joomla! Content Management System (CMS). Beside the development of the Joomla! codebase the development working group defines the Joomla! roadmap strategy, creating (architectural) designs for major and minor versions and of course take care of bug- and security fixes in maintenance versions.

The development working group holds two teams: the Development Team and the so called Bug Squad. The teams have separate responsibilities, but together they form the development force from the Joomla! project. Please check the development category page for a full overview of all available pages.
Documentation Working Group
If you are looking for a way to help the documentation effort, then please take a look in the cookie jar where we have a list of small(-ish) tasks that you can pick up when you have a bit of time and can be completed without too much effort.
