This template should be used by placing {{needs}} at the beginning of a page. Alternatively, you can also use {{page}}. The {{page}} template is a redirect to the {{needs}} template and will function in the same way. The {{page}} template redirect was created because it was more intuitive for wiki members. These two templates are used to place a message box asking others to contribute more content to the page it is placed on.

In addition, this template will automatically add the page it is placed in to the Joomla! Wiki's Category of pages with needs. OR create a new needs category. |
"needs" Categories suggestions:
- {{needs|needs content}} Needs content category
- {{needs|needs images}} Needs images category
- {{needs|needs editing}} Needs editing category
- {{needs|needs list population}} Needs list population
- {{needs|needs list population|Because there needs to be proof.}} Needs list population, which adds the Reason: Because there needs to be proof. See the example of use below.
It can also be used on a Category page.
- {{needs|needs more pages}} Needs more pages is a category message box.
Please maintain the first word needs and use all lower case lettering.
