Advice on Contributing to this Manual

This page is divided into sections according to the experience of the Contributor.

I am a Beginner

You have a VERY important role in creating this Manual.

• You bring new eyes to the Manual.
• Writers experienced in a Topic often write at their level.
• You can see what is hard to understand. It's not your fault, its ours.
• PLEASE TELL US
  • Use the Talk page of the page you do not understand.
  • Click on the discussion tab at the top of the page
  • Then follow some simple editing conventions.
    • Start a new discussion by clicking on the + tab
    • Write a title beginning and ending with two equals signs (==)
    • Respond to a discussion using a : on each line to indent the response.
    • Always sign your contribution by clicking on the signature button (second from right above the edit window) or using four tildes ~~~~

  • Find a Chunk that needs completion and is something you know about.
  • Write what you feel provides a suitable explanation of the the Topic.
  • Your contribution will be identified by the Editors and may be moderated.

You are an ESSENTIAL Contributor

• You are busy on some part of the construction of Joomla! 1.6
• You normally have no need of Manuals.
• But you are key to our success and we only need little of your time.
