Is there a Schema?[edit]
Is there any form of detailed documentation of this XML? I mean a DTD, a Schema, or a textual description of the possibilities?

Deletion discussion[edit]
As response to the request for deletion:
I have the impression there is much more information on this page about the xml file than there is on the proposed page. So, if everything is transferred there, I am for deletion, otherwise against.
Or maybe even better to take the xml file example out of the proposed page, put it here and link to it or doc-include it (or what's it called?), so that the component page is less crowded and the xml file can be found separately in the wiki search?

- Yes this does have a few extra fields. And yes in essence I am proposing to move it across to the other page (not 100% how yet as we'd need to explain what the install db tags, install.helloworld.php etc tags are). I'm not in favour of the doc-include - as I don't see the advantage of this unless all the file names/menu names etc are put in context! Perhaps add in this as an example of the extra features a component can have --Wilsonge (talk) 09:58, 1 February 2013 (CST)
- Besides extra fields, don't forget the extra explanatory comments!
- But OK, I don't exactly get what you say further, but since you already acknowledge to integrate everything (which was my biggest conern), I don't need any more confirmation. Go ahead. Just consider maybe not the doc-include, but to transfer the xml file from there to here and just linking to it. ( I like shorter wiki-pages with better wiki searches.) Or maybe that is also considered your "not 100% how yet". E-motiv (former E-builds) (talk)
- Changed it to a merge request - as User:Hutchy68 created such a category earlier. But will work on this tomorrow if that sounds better. I think I'll merge this in as another section of the wiki and then just add in a few bits of explanatory text - if that sounds good to you?--Wilsonge (talk) 16:54, 1 February 2013 (CST)
