"Other types of categories" - That's clear as mud. "Sections are only used for articles. However, categories are also used for other components". But categories are in sections and categories can have other things in them therefore the section that has the category that has "other components" in it also has the "other components" in it. So are sections only for articles or can they also have categories that have other components in them in them? Or am I muddling something simple and obvious by missing some subtlety in the explanation?

Hi Phil. You are probably better off asking this type of question in the user's forum. To answer your question, Sections are only for articles. Categories are for all types of content. And, yes, this is confusing and in fact Sections are going away in version 1.6. They will be replaced by the concept of hierarchical categories. So, in version 1.6, Categories can contain other Categories. Good luck. Mark Dexter 15:29, 15 September 2009 (UTC)
Thanks Mark - I'm glad it wasn't just me :-) Phil n 04:22, 16 September 2009 (UTC)
