JED started on basis of this list at Joomla! forum Ken actually started the list back when we were Mambo. It was then that a few of us began discussion an actual Directory as something that we should be working on.

• No 1.0 extensions: March 31 2009, JED no longer accepts Joomla! 1.0 compatible-only extensions. However, accepts extensions compatible with Joomla! 1.0 and Joomla! 1.5
