I'd like to change this paragraph:
into (changes marked bold):
The templates outputs the "disambiguatiion message" and adds the landing Pages category. The pages also appear in Special:Disambiguation for that matter. --CirTap 09:05, 25 January 2008 (EST)
Not sure all of these terms require disambiguation. Or did you have higher purpose in mind? :-) --Chris Davenport 10:20, 25 January 2008 (EST)
I alwas do ;-) ... Ok, right, not all are ambiguous, but still many :-) At least those that have a equally or similar named counterparts in the Joomla! Framework: a 'J' class or package, or if there are extensions that also deal with the subject. Remember that I'll "polute" the Main namespace with all the package names. I'll explain this in detail in the test wiki where we can also discuss pros and cons.
I believe this is not only for "Google", but if one enters any of these terms in the search box and hits "Go" s/he'll be taken directly to that page; no search happens, and search engines have "priorized links" to follow.
This one's a true candidate, imho
Whether these pages should also be named "Foobar (disambiguation)" is a matter of the JDOC:PG ;-)
So this list might need a review of what is ambigous, add this as a note as done for Installation, and enhance the instruction to use the Category as is and 'disambig' for any landing pages marked as such. How's that? --CirTap 11:12, 25 January 2008 (EST)
Ahh, okay, I didn't realise that the wiki search would behave like that! I think this makes perfect sense now. Go for it. --Chris Davenport 11:45, 25 January 2008 (EST)
