Provide a marker notice of intent to split the page it is placed on into a version namespace.

Functions/Features

Provides a ambox notice:

  • Notice to split a page into a J, version specific, Namespace.
  • Link to discussion page(talk page) to promote feedback on the suggested split if version split is not obvious.
  • Time stamp to track the placement, prevents pages from being in a perpetual split state.
  • Automatic categorisation of the page {{JSplit}} is placed.

It has been suggested that this article or section be split into specific version Namespaces. (Discuss). If version split is not obvious, please allow split request to remain for 1 week pending discussions. Proposed since 15 months ago.

Known Issues

Time displayed in hours since placed reflects server time so the user will have to calculate their local time vs. server time. This issue becomes a non issue as the time frame increases.
