The "J2.5" namespace is a namespace scheduled to be archived. This page contains information for a Joomla! version which is no longer supported. It exists only as a historical reference, it will not be improved and its content may be incomplete and/or contain broken links.

The Joomla! 2.5 End of Support (EOS) Notice that is shown in Joomla! 2.5.28 (and later versions, if applicable) Administration Control Panel , can be turned off by disabling the Plugin powering the notice.

This is not recommended, since users should be aware support for Joomla 2.5 is ending or has ended. Your website will continue to function as normal, however, security updates and bug fixes for 2.5 will no longer be supplied by the Joomla project.

The plugin was added to the maintenance release of Joomla 2.5.28 to notify users support for the 2.5 version ends on 31 Dec 2014.

How to Disable

To disable the Plugin

1. Click on Extensions → Plug-in Manager in the top admin menu
2. Search with the Filter for: End of Support; support notifier; or notifier. Click the search button and remember, capitalisation is ignored.
   
3. Click on the green check-mark to disable the notice. Alternatively, you may click on the plugin name to disable the plugin from the End of Support Notifier plugin management screen. Do not forget to click save or save & close.
