How to Access[edit]
Once you have accessed Media Manager, you can set the options as follows:
- Click the Options button to the upper right (see "Screenshot 1" below).
- Adjust the values in the fields under Media as needed (see #1 in "Screenshot 2" below).
- To set permissions for the Media Manager component, click the Permissions tab (see #2 in "Screenshot 2" below) and adjust the settings as needed.
- When done, click Save & Close (see #3 in "Screenshot 2" below).

- You can configure Media Manager by changing the settings in Options. The options you can change are:
- Legal Extensions (File Types) - Extensions (file types) you are allowed to upload (comma separated).
- Default value: bmp,csv,doc,gif,ico,jpg,jpeg,odg,odp,ods,odt,pdf,png,ppt,txt,xcf,xls, BMP,CSV,DOC,GIF,ICO,JPG,JPEG,ODG,ODP,ODS,ODT,PDF,PNG,PPT,TXT,XCF,XLS
- Maximum Size (in MB) - Use zero for no limit. Note: your server has a maximum limit.
- Default value: 10
- Path to Files Folder - Enter the path to the files folder relative to the root of your webspace. Warning! Changing to another path than the default 'images' may break your links. Note: Do not start the path with a slash!
- Default value: images
- Path to Images Folder - Enter the path to the images folder relative to the root of your webspace. This path has to be the same as path to files (default) or to a subfolder of the path to file folder. Note: Do not start the path with a slash!
- Default value: images
- Restrict Uploads - Restrict uploads for lower than manager users to images if Fileinfo or MIME Magic isn't installed.
- Default value: Yes
- Check MIME Types - Use MIME Magic or Fileinfo to attempt to verify files. Try disabling this if you get invalid mime type errors.
- Default value: Yes
- Legal Image Extensions (File Types) - Image extensions (file types) you are allowed to upload (comma separated). These are used to check for valid image headers.
- Default value: bmp,gif,jpg,png
- Ignored Extensions - Ignored file extensions for MIME type checking and restricted uploads.
- Default value: (blank)
- Legal MIME Types - A comma separated list of legal MIME types to upload.
- Default value: image/jpeg,image/gif,image/png,image/bmp,application/msword, application/excel,application/pdf,application/powerpoint,text/plain,application/x-zip
- Illegal MIME Types - A comma separated list of illegal MIME types to upload (blacklist).
- Default value: text/html
- Legal Extensions (File Types) - Extensions (file types) you are allowed to upload (comma separated).
