In Joomla 3.4.2 we improved the handling of the Date of birth field.

What is the cause[edit]
If you fill date of birth of a user in profile settings and then show the profile to contact page by connecting a user to a single contact (where the display settings is set Tabs) the date of birth will show everywhere.
How to fix[edit]
Apply the patch https://github.com/joomla/joomla-cms/pull/7340 and
Apply the patch https://github.com/joomla/joomla-cms/pull/7345.
This will be included in Joomla 3.4.4
