Hi. The information in the last edit was incorrect. I think the problem might be in the menu alias. If two or more menu items have the same alias, then this will not work correctly with SEF=Yes. I had this same problem because I used to Menu item Copy function to create the menu items. This copied the same alias value, which caused the problem. When I changed the alias of each menu item to be unique, then it works fine with SEF on. [[User:Dextercowley|Mark Dexter]] 23:49, 1 February 2009 (UTC)

If what you say is correct (I'm going over my menus now to verify), then Joomla developers have made a serious logical misstake:

Joomlas SEF functionality relies on Menu Alias for navigation - what you write as alias is what you get in your URLs. But two menu items leading to the same article can't have the same alias. So you have to use seperate alias for the same article, giving you two URLs to the same content???

Wouldn't it have been much more logical to rely on the Article Alias for SEF URL creation? [[User:Sungam|Magnus Hedberg]]18:27, 4 February 2009 (UTC)

I'm new, but It doesn't seems that this section is still valid in version 3.0 (e.g.: there is no Menu Style "List" under Module Parameters): is it possible specify which version it refers to?

Version[edit]

I'm new, but It doesn't seems that this section is still valid in version 3.0 (e.g.: there is no Menu Style "List" under Module Parameters): is it possible specify which version it refers to?
