Hi I was wondering about creating new content for the site I have been heavily involved with Joomla at many sites both in a capacity of advisor and developer, most new users invariably forget or have no knowlege of the back up procedure or how to implement on a regular basis.
I personally find that a particular component is an ideal solution for this purpose and wonder if it would be ok to create an article which for one describes how to back up (using this component).
Whilst I am new to the main Joomla site I am by no means a newbie to the Joomla scene and would very much like to assist in some capacity. I have read the how to get involved article and viewed articles that need modification, editing and reviewing and cannot find anything!
Depends on the component. For example, it would need to be GPL licensed and there would need to be a good reason for it to be documented here rather than on the component developers' website. Also bear in mind that Joomla will have a native backup capability from 1.6 onwards. Chris Davenport 18:32, 12 November 2008 (EST)
