How do you implement Search Engine Friendly URLs (SEF)?[edit]
Hello Topazgb,
You recently reverted my edition (http://docs.joomla.org/index.php?title=How_do_you_implement_Search_Engine_Friendly_URLs_(SEF)%3F&oldid=59477) of this page without leaving a description, comments on the talk page, or comments on my talk page. My rationale for rewriting the page was that it had to be understandable for beginning users. Many users have no idea what "apache/conf/httpd.conf" is, or cannot access it (on shared hosting). I also added advice from the talk page and added clear pointers about what to check if something goes wrong.
Please provide a rationale for keeping the old revision of the page.

- I have personally enabled SEF without uncommenting the RewriteBase line, and it works fine. Please test this yourself using the JumpBox from http://demo.joomla.org/. However, I shall revert back to my revision and add a comment about that procedure.
