Component[edit]

  • Allow User Registration: (Yes/No). If set to Yes, new Users allowed to self-register.
  • Send Password: (Yes/No). If set to Yes the user's initial password will be emailed to the user as part of the registration mail.
  • New User Account Activation: (None/Self/Admin). If set to None, the user will be registered right away. If set to Self, the User will be emailed a link to activate their account before they can log in. If set to Admin, the user will be emailed a link to verify their email address, then all users set to receive system emails and who have the permission to create users will be notified to activate the user's account.
  • Notification Mail to Administrators: (Yes/No). If 'New User Account Activation' is set to 'None' or 'Self', allows or not a notification mail to be sent to administrators.
  • Captcha: (Use Default/None Selected). Select the captcha plugin that will be used in the registration, password and username reminder forms. You may need to enter required information for your captcha plugin in the Plugin Manager.If 'Use Default' is selected, make sure a captcha plugin is selected in Global Configuration.
  • Frontend User Parameters: (Show/Hide). If set to Show, Users will be able to select their language, editor, and Help Site preferences on their details screen when logged-in to the frontend.
  • Frontend Language: (Show/Hide). If 'Frontend User Parameters' is set to 'Show', users will be able to select their frontend language preference when registering. This is specially handy in a multilingual setting.
  • Change Login Name: (Yes/No). Allow users to change their Login name when editing their profile.
  • Maximum Reset Count: (1/2/3/4/5/6/...). The maximum number of password resets allowed within the time period. Zero indicates no limit.
  • Time in Hours: (1/2/3/4/5/6/7/...). The time period, in hours, for the reset counter.
  • Minimum Password Length: (4/5/6/7/8/9/10/...). Set the minimum length for a password.
  • Password Minimum Integers: (1/2/3/4/5/6/...). Set the minimum number of integers that must be included in a password.
  • Password Minimum Symbols: (1/2/3/4/5/6/...). Set the minimum number of symbols (such as !@#$) required in a password.
  • Password Upper Case Minimum: (1/2/3/4/5/6/...). Set the minimum number of upper case ASCII characters required for a password.

User Notes History[edit]

  • Save History: (Yes/No). Whether to automatically save old versions of an item. If set to Yes, old versions of items are saved automatically. When editing, you may restore from a previous version of the item.
  • Maximum Versions: The maximum number of old versions of an item to save. If zero, all old versions will be saved.

Mass Mail options

  • Subject Prefix: This gets added in front of each mail subject.
  • Mailbody Suffix: This gets added after the mail text.

Permissions[edit]

Default permissions used for all content in this component.

  • Configure: (Inherited/Allowed/Denied). Allow or deny Configure for users in the Public group. Configure Allows users in the group to edit the options of this extension.
  • Access Administration Interface: (Inherited/Allowed/Denied). Allow or deny Access Administration Interface for users in the Public group. Access Administration Interface Allows users in the group to access the administration interface for this extension.
  • Create: (Inherited/Allowed/Denied). Allow or deny Create for users in the Public group. Create Allows users in the group to create any content in this extension.
  • Delete: (Inherited/Allowed/Denied). Allow or deny Delete for users in the Public group. Delete Allows users in the group to delete any content in this extension.
  • Edit: (Inherited/Allowed/Denied). Allow or deny Edit for users in the Public group. Edit Allows users in the group to edit any content in this extension.
  • Edit State: (Inherited/Allowed/Denied). Allow or deny Edit State for users in the Public group. Edit State Allows users in the group to change the state of any content in this extension.
