Supporting the Joomla Translation Teams (Core and Resources) Joomla Cms (Core) Language Team & Joomla Resources Language Team, the International Community, and the other Joomla! Teams on user and technical matters relating to the translation of the Joomla! application.

The CMS (Core) Language team carries out its work according to Joomla! Translation and Localization Policy. Joomla Project Translations

The local language coordinators representing their local teams can be found and contacted in the list on the Joomla Volunteers Portal. Joomla Cms Language Team These teams are also listed on a per language basis on the Download website where the language packs are available for the various Joomla versions and languages. 4.x current languages are here: Translations Joomla4

How can you help?

For that to become possible we need help from talented native speakers who wish to contribute by translating Joomla! language packages or other publications into their native language.

Joomla translations are mostly maintained on Crowdin. Create an account or Log in with Google, Facebook, GitHub, Twitter or Gitlab and start translating your language.

On the Joomla Project Crowdin you will find the following projects:

  • Joomla! CMS (the core translation)
  • Joomla! Official Website Template (template of the official Websites)
  • Joomla! Official Websites (content of official Websites)
  • Joomla Marketing Resources (like video subtitles and social media images)
  • Joomla! Official Extensions (like the PatchTester, Weblinks, and the JED Checker).

For documentation how Crowdin works, have a look at: Crowdin.

You don’t need to join a team to help translate Joomla! Into your language - just visit the CrowdIn profile and get started translating into your local language.

If your language currently isn’t listed, just let us know and we’ll get it setup so you can start translating.

If you would like to join one of the teams as a proofreader, contact the Joomla Translation Program via the Volunteers Portal.

Do you have language and/or translation questions?
