Bir Apache web sunucusu, siteye özel yapılandırma için site ana dizininde bir htaccess dosyası kullanır. Önceden yapılandırılmış bir htaccess dosyası (htaccess.txt) Joomla ile birlikte teslim edilir. Yaygın açıklardan kaçınmaya yönelik talimatlar içerir ve SEF URL'lerini uygular. Buna ek olarak, ortamınız için kontrol edilmesi gereken bazı ayarlar sağlar:

• IndexIgnore *
• Options +FollowSymLinks
• Options -Indexes
• RewriteBase /

htaccess.txt'yi etkinleştirmek, mevcut bir .htaccess dosyasını htaccess.txt ile birleştirmek ve yukarıda belirtilen ayarlara karar vermek anlamına gelir.

Not:

Etkin dosya, aşağıdakilerle httpd.conf dosyalarından birinde ayarlanır:

AccessFileName .htaccess

Varsayılan olarak .htaccess'tir (bu da onu Unix benzeri dosya sistemlerinde gizli yapar). Bunu değiştirmeye gerek yok.

Windows platformunda bunu şu şekilde değiştirebilirsiniz:

AccessFileName htaccess.ini

böylece daha kolay düzenleyebilirsiniz.

Burada htaccess.txt kullanmayın çünkü Joomla güncellenirken üzerine yazılacak ve değişiklikler kaybolacaktır.
