== Agregar una variable de petición en el tipo de menú ==
Por el momento, el mensaje que aparece es siempre ''Hello World!''. Desde Joomla! 2.5 se da la posibilidad de agregar parámetros a tipos de menú. En nuestro caso, esto se realiza en el archivo <tt>site/views/helloworld/tmpl/default.xml</tt>:

Estamos incluyendo un campo del tipo ''lista'' dentro del menú. Este es uno de los [https://docs.joomla.org/Standard_form_field_types Tipos de Campo de Formulario Estándar] de Joomla!.

Dos cosas importantes a tener en cuenta:
* el grupo ''request'' de campos indica los campos obligatorios.
* el nombre del atributo se puede pasar al componente en la dirección URL. En este caso <tt>?option=com_helloworld&id=1</tt> indicaría que habías elegido la opción 1.

El modelo tiene que ser modificado para cambiar entre los dos mensajes diferentes (dependiendo de cuál es elegido por el administrador con el campo definido anteriormente):
